Boulder Amps is a high-end amplifier manufacturer recognized by industry experts and audiophiles worldwide. While working at DD9, I was part of a team that completed a comprehensive redesign for them with a modern theme that reflects the elegant, elite nature of their products. This WordPress-powered website is fully responsive and provides extensive product information without overwhelming users.
The core mantra of Boulder Amps products is to reproduce music that sounds exactly as it was performed and recorded. From this idea, I devised a simple yet compelling headline, “Sound that transcends time.” This statement effectively conveys the superior sound quality that their amplifiers provide with music from any decade.
My contributions to this project also include the complete design from sketches and wireframes through the finished theme and graphics.

Compelling Textures
Besides being industry leaders in sound quality, Boulder Amps products are all hand-crafted with beautiful aesthetics. I incorporated three key textures seen in their products’ design to reflect the visual artistry of their products.

An initial design challenge of this project was to make each product page easily digestible while making sure extensive details and specifications were still available to advanced visitors. My inspired solution to this problem was to incorporate an expandable specs column on product pages as well as expandable product lists for each series.
